Simulate a whole Formula 1 championship

The F1 championship simulator runs an entire season and keeps score. If you came looking for an F1 simulator championship mode rather than a one-off race, this is it. Every round is a real weekend underneath: a three-part qualifying session sets the grid, then the race plays out with fuel loads, tyre degradation, the mandatory two-compound rule, pit stops, safety cars, dirty air and rain. Points go to the top ten, and the standings you see are the sum of what actually happened.

How to use it

Why the championship is different every time

A fixed pecking order would produce the same champion every season, which is not how a real year behaves. Each weekend rolls a form swing for every team (an upgrade that works, a setup that does not), and smaller teams swing harder than the big ones, because a low-budget car is peaky by nature. Add reliability, first-lap contact, safety cars falling at the wrong moment and rain at Spa or Interlagos, and the title tends to stay open into the closing rounds.

Running a team: the F1 manager simulator

Watching a season play out is one mode. The other is taking a team, which turns this into an F1 manager simulator rather than a spectator one. As team principal you are not driving. You decide where a finite amount of development goes, and who sits in the cars.

The development choice is the one that decides it. A lane already close to the ceiling swallows most of what you spend, so the window tells you where you rank in the field and what the rounds you have not run yet actually reward. Spending both windows in the lane you are weakest in beats the target most years; spending them in a lane that is already maxed misses it almost every time.

That is the whole loop: finish, develop, sign, go again. There is no separate manager page on this site because this is that game: everything above happens right here.

Questions

What does the F1 championship simulator do?

It simulates all 24 Grands Prix of a Formula 1 season and builds the drivers' and constructors' championships as it goes. Each round runs a real qualifying session and a full race with tyre strategy, pit stops, safety cars, retirements and weather, so the standings emerge from actual results rather than a random draw.

Can I simulate the season one round at a time?

Yes. You can run the next Grand Prix on its own and watch the standings shift, or simulate straight to the end of the year. Your season is saved in your browser, so you can leave mid-championship and come back.

Is the F1 season simulator free?

Yes. No download, no sign-up, nothing to pay. It all runs in your browser.

How are points awarded?

The current system: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 for the top ten. There is no bonus point for fastest lap, matching the rules as they stand.

Is this an F1 manager simulator?

Yes, in team mode. You take one of the eleven teams as principal and the board sets you a target: finish one place better than your team normally does. To get there you split a development budget between engine, downforce and reliability across two windows a season, and make one driver signing each winter. Hit the target and your budget grows and the bar rises with it; miss it and the budget is cut. Development is handicapped by where you finished, the AI teams develop against you, and your car carries into the next season before the rules pull the field back together.

Does the same driver always win the championship?

No. Each weekend rolls a form swing for every team, so cars move around from round to round, smaller teams are more volatile than big ones, and reliability and weather do the rest. Across simulated seasons you typically see five or six different race winners and a title that is not settled until the closing rounds.

Which season is simulated?

The 2026 calendar and grid: 24 rounds, 22 drivers and 11 teams, including Cadillac. Ratings are our own model rather than official data.
